This painting is inspired from a black magic cult called "The Golden Down". Every member of the cult had to go through a hierarchy phase. This cult was extremely popular in the 19th century and was disbanded. However, the Western black magic cults tend to be open living in society. That's why, "The Golden Crown" was well-known during its era.
