Eka Sutha

Eka Sutha is a painter who mainly uses the collage pattern to combine objects, characters, and styles in his paintings. He is immensely inspired by the Western and local artists such as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Heri Dono. In his paintings, he is interested in delivering what he sees, experiences, and remembers in everyday life. Every artist has their own inclination to create art. the same with Ida Bagus Eka, or you can call Eka Sutha.

Born in a Brahmin family, and grew up in a socio-cultural environment with religious traditions, he subconsciously always brings a 'traditional feel' to his works.

In contrast to the place where he grew up, he established his own art in a modern environment.

This difference is the things he often presents in his work, striking colors with trendy objects, combined and matched with traditional objects
such as Rangda, Balinese masks, and others. with the thought that 'tradition' will always go hand in hand with the passage of time.
